What if I am not a candidate for an ASCT, I don't respond to the above therapy, or I relapse?

If you do not respond to first-line therapy (refractory disease) or have relapsed disease (reappearance of signs and symptoms of your myeloma after a period of improvement), you may start on second line therapy. Treatment options may combine several of the following below. There are many factors that will determine which treatment option will be the best for you. You and your doctor will work together to determine the best treatment path for you.

  • Proteasome inhibitors

  • Chemotherapy alkylating agent

  • Steroids

  • Bispecific antibodies

  • Cellular immunotherapy, such as CAR T
