Symptoms of Multiple Myeloma

There are often no symptoms in the early stages of myeloma. Once it progresses, some of the more common symptoms are:

  • Bone pain

  • Bone fractures

  • Fatigue

  • Weakness

  • Recurrent or persistent infections

  • Loss of appetite and weight loss

Symptoms related to hypercalcemia or kidney problems may include:

  • Increased or decreased urination

  • Increased thirst

  • Restlessness, which can eventually lead to extreme weakness and fatigue

  • Confusion

  • Nausea and vomiting
