Lawrence E. Morris, M.D., a board certified oncologist, is medical director of the Leukemia Program and member of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program. He was Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Bone Marrow Transplant and Leukemia Program. Dr. Morris completed his fellowship training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he was clinical fellow of the American Cancer Society. He has authored and coauthored articles and abstracts in the field of stem celltransplantation in peer-reviewed journals such as Transplantation and Human Immunology. His research interests include development of innovative therapies for leukemia and malignant blood disorders. He completed his medical school and residency training at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was selected to be Chief Medical Resident, and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. Dr. Morris is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology Oncology and the American College of Physicians.
